COMPOSER'S NOTES

Monroe in Summer Op. 80, is the third and penultimate sonata for flute and piano in The Warhol's Four Seasons of New York cycle.

Lasting approximately 15 minutes each sonata, this cycle is composed to honor the memory of Andy Warhol and is inspired by the phrase attributed to the artist: "In the future, everyone will have their 15 minutes of fame."
